Chapter 2
Four weeks are left until the Chambers siblings prepare to go to Mackinac Island to find Ricardo Delgado. However, this didn't exclude them from their daily routines. School was still a big obstacle for them especially Marcie. Crime fighting took a toll on her, her hair way messy and she had bags under her eyes. To make matters worse, Keith's bestfriend, Mohammad, was hitting on her. She nicely maneuvered around him to walk with her best friend, Vanessa, to lunch. At lunch Marcie got a nice necklace with the Aquarian symbol on it from Shonda's best friend, Mayah. Marcie was joyful about her new necklace until Ms. Tate told her to put it away. While putting the necklace away in her sweater Donovan bumped into her running to class, panting like a dog, and waving a piece of paper in his hand.

After a few minutes Donovan opened the door leading the rest of the siblings in. They went upstairs where they met more henchmen to fend off, but Giovanni and Keith headed towards another room while Marcie quietly followed them. In the room they entered there were weapons all over the wall like an arsenal. Then, there was a letter on the wall in Spanish. It was a letter from Ricardo's father telling him to defend the people in their Ann Arbor community. Shortly after, Donovan and Shonda entered the room telling everyone they needed to go quickly. A bomb went off making the whole house rumble. One by one the siblings made it outside from a huge window. Another bomb exploded making glass shatter above their heads. Giovanni felt defeated because they didn't find any new clues on Ricardo. However, a henchmen tried to sneak attack her from behind. Luckily, Donovan saw the henchmen and from him they were told to find a man named Luis Gonzales to find Ricardo.

Later that day Marcie found out Donovan bought a weapon from one of Ricardo's henchmen and followed him back to a mansion. The mansion was Ricardo's old place, and the piece of paper Donovan held had the address on it: 3632 Cottonwood Lane. When the siblings arrived at the mansion, they were in awe of it. It was beautiful white mansion that exuded a sense of grandeur with its tall blue roof, large windows with lights on in every room, and a walking path that led to two big wooden front doors. They reached the front doors, and without making a plan to execute and exit safely, Donovan kicked the doors open and dragged Shonda along with him. Marcie and Keith quickly shut the front doors, and the rest of siblings went to a big window to watch Shonda and Donovan fight the henchmen.
